Why we keep our service area small
A lot of roofing companies list every town within an hour’s drive. We’d rather cover three places well. Staying close means we can get to a leaking roof quickly, come back for a follow-up without a two-hour round trip, and actually know the housing, builders and weather in each place we work.
It also keeps our costs down, which is why there’s no travel charge anywhere in our service area.
Airdrie
Airdrie is home base, and we work in every part of the city — from the original townsite along Main Street to the newest phases on the city’s edges. Some communities have their own page, because their roofs have their own stories:
- King’s Heights — Melcor’s southeast community around a man-made lake, where many builder-grade roofs from the late 2000s are due for their first replacement, and lake-lot walkouts have tall rear elevations.
- Cooper’s Crossing — WestMark’s classic-style southwest community, built in phases over two decades, so roof ages vary from street to street.
- Hillcrest — launched in 2010, with duplexes, laned homes with detached garages, townhomes and front-drive homes side by side.
- Reunion — craftsman-style homes on the city’s far northwest edge, facing open farmland and the full force of the northwest wind.
- Old Town — the original townsite by Nose Creek, where many roofs are 30-plus years old and on their second or third life.
We also work across the rest of Airdrie, including communities such as Bayside, Ravenswood, Sagewood, Williamstown, Windsong and Luxstone. Wherever you are in the city, the same hail corridor and prairie wind are working on your roof.
Crossfield
Crossfield is a town about fifteen minutes north of Airdrie up the QEII. It’s a smaller, older community than Airdrie, with established streets of bungalows and bi-levels alongside newer development, and acreages around it. We see:
- Older roofs on homes that have been through more than one roof already, often with ventilation that needs updating
- Wind exposure on the open edges of town, where the same northwest wind that hits Reunion arrives with even less in the way
- Garages, shops and outbuildings on larger lots and acreages, where metal roofing and rubber roofing are common choices
Crossfield sits in the same hail-prone corridor as Airdrie, so storm inspections and hail damage roofing are a big part of the work here too.
Balzac
Balzac is a hamlet in Rocky View County just south of Airdrie, a few minutes down the QEII and best known for the CrossIron Mills shopping centre. Around it are acreages and country residential homes, plus commercial and light-industrial buildings along the highway corridor. The work we do there tends to be:
- Acreage homes with large, complex roofs and long, exposed rake edges
- Shops, barns and detached garages, often with metal or low-slope roofs

Scheduling across our service area
Being close means scheduling is simpler. Estimates in Airdrie, Crossfield and Balzac are booked the same way, and we group visits by area when we can so nobody waits longer because of where they live.
After a big hailstorm, demand rises everywhere at once. We work through inspection requests in the order they come in, with active leaks first, and we’ll tell you honestly how long the wait is rather than promise a date we can’t keep. If a storm has left water coming in, call rather than book online so we can prioritise temporary protection.
Permits work differently depending on where you are. Inside Airdrie, new structures and structural changes go through the City of Airdrie; in Crossfield, through the Town; and around Balzac, through Rocky View County. A like-for-like re-roof generally doesn’t need a permit, but a new garage, an addition or a new skylight opening usually does, and we’ll tell you which applies before work starts.
